Living life on the road, thousands of miles away from all your friends and family can take a toll on a human. During these times it is truly a blessing to come across individuals that begin to feel like family and briefly live in a motel that feels like home away from home. During our time at motel somerset we were met with open arms, warming hospitality, and a staff that went the extra mile for us on their own accord. Our 4 legged kids were also treated like family and were loved oh so much. In the past leaving a motel didn’t phase us, but leaving here pulled at the heart strings. I will recommend and brag about this motel for as long as I live. From cleanliness to service every mark was hit and even surpassed our expectations. Thank you motel somerset for being our home away from home these past couple months
I recently stayed at Motel Somerset while my home was under some construction that required my 3 dogs and I to spend a night away. They were very accommodating to my predicament since most corporate owned motels have a strict 2 dog limit. It was the perfect place for us to stay and the closest as well. The room was clean so I had a very pleasant experience.
As born and raised Texans who spend a lot of time traveling out of state and in all sorts of motels, it’s difficult for my wife and I to find a motel that feels like home to us. Here at Motel Somerset we felt right at home with a Texas-sized hospitality from Kristin and the staff. They went above and beyond to be accommodating and hospitable through all our odd and frequent requests and were never made to feel like a nuisance. We never had any major issues but any minor thing was handled quickly and effectively, which is rare in many hotels. We loved the strong, community driven approach they take with their guests and how well kept the rooms and grounds are. They were thorough in the upkeep during the snowy days and the rooms were very well kept and updated. We loved how modern and well maintained the bathrooms were and we loved the spacious rooms. We stayed here just over two months straight as we were working in the area. Even when we got moved to a site an hour away we chose to stay here and commute because of how at home we felt staying here. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay here and we really saddened when work wrapped up and it was time to head out of the state. If I ever end up in the area I would love to stay here time and time again, and I would strongly recommend anyone in the area to give them a try.
So glad we decided to give this place a try! Super clean, a lot of towels, touch screen mirror in bathroom, beautiful vanity, and extremely quiet! The bed was also a lot softer than we expected it was very comfortable! Grounds are also kept very well and beautiful view and a lot of greenery! Owners are very pleasant. We will definitely stay here again!

OMG...what a FANTASTIC Motel!!!! This is our second stay here & it was just as wonderful as the first stay. Last time we had a premium room but since they were sold out we got the standard room--& we enjoyed it just as much!!!! The hotel is immaculate, the beds are SO comfy, the other guests are fantastic. There are not enough good things to say. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE & THE STAFF!!!!! Looking forward to one more stay at the end of our travels this year!!!!! Cannot wait to be there again
The owners are just wonderful people. They helped me give my great nephew and his new wife a very nice wedding reception. I rented the conference room, with the side door leading out to the fire pit area. Had a great trip thank y'all for everything. Very quiet place, will be going back. If you are traveling and want a nice clean place to stay make sure to add this motel to your trip, you won't be disappointed We weren't, Louisiana is a long way, but another trip is well worth it.
